Classical music can have soothing pieces as well. In New Age music, there is an emphasis on music that uplifts the spirits, is happy, or (if there is singing) uses hopeful lyrics. Classical music isn't always "happy". Plus, the term "Classical" can define a specific period in music history long before the new age artists you and I know today were even born. One of the major characteristics of music from the Classical period is the idea of balance and symmetry, simplicity and straightforwardness (as opposed to Baroque ornamentation).
comparing new age music to classical music is like comparing plastic beads to a diamond. Do you learn an instrument ? You should try it. It will give you a greater appreciation of what you are listening to.
About the same way I would describe the difference between New England cheddar and velveeta --
Or perhaps a good marble rye and Wonderbread.
Jackson Pollock and Thomas Kincaid
John Steinbeck and Richard Bach
One has substance, depth, dimension, subtle shifts of color and tone, and scope, and is a work of art for the sake of the art, while the other is empty, superficial, flavorless and colorless, devoid of vision, and written solely to make a buck.
Otherwise I have no opinion.
I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce the middle name but Lanz isn't bad. It sounds like you are having doubts about the name that you chose. I went through the same thing with my child after allowing too much outside influence in the selection process. Just remember that if you decide that you don't like the name or more importantly, that your child might grow up and not like the name then you can always change it before the child is too old. Good Luck-
no when i looked at it i pictured the Lane Bryant sign sorry dont like it!
If it is already the babys' name, isn't it too late to worry about how it sounds? Lanz makes me think of a lancet , which is used to prick fingers.
Honestly, no, it's ridiculous and trendy. I assume it's Lance Breton? Don't use the Z, it makes it ghetto
no, it doesn't.
I'm sorry, but I don't like it.
ummmm...... how on earth do u pronounce the last name??!!!
sounds like you let the cat run loose over the keyboard...what was his name again?
*cheers*
It's interesting, but it's going to make roll call tough for the rest of his life. (Lanz does sound really cool, though, and if that's the last name, it works well with it.)
breytahn is the middle name or last name? if its middle name than please change it
I'm guessing that's pronounced Lahnz Bray-tawn? It's original, for sure. Kind of nuts.
I like Lanz but not sure how you will pronounce the middle name!
it's fine, if you have already names him that why ask?
Yeah, I think it sounds okay...that middle name is kind of different but I like Lanz.
It looks like some kind of Hobbit Lord of the Rings spelling.
I really don't like it. But it's your kid.
yes and no all at once nice but a name you have to trully figure the response when they get older in school and if theyll like it and how hard itll be for them to spell it.
